compuworm Posted December 3, 2005 CID Share Posted December 3, 2005 OK I just downloaded the Hyperwrt WRT54GS 4.70.6-201105 (Thibor) firmware for my router and it seems to be working beautifully. I was just wondering what Transmission Power setting I can get away with without have to use a cooling fan on my router. compuworm Posted December 5, 2005 Author CID Share Posted December 5, 2005 This site given by chief_osceloa is out of date I dont even go there anymore because the Firmware listed there is not based on linksys's new firmware like 4.70.6 instead it is based on older linksys firmware. Instead go here and register. Then go to, "Downloads" and look under the router that you have and you can download the newest Firmware based on 4.70.6 for your router. http://www.linksysinfo.org/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewforum&f=25 If you have version 1, wrt54gs make sure you download the WRT54GS with Hyperwrt 4.70.6-201105 (Thibor) Firmware it is for versions 1-4.
