Questions about Comcast and their evil intentions ;O

That sort of tweaking won't get you that far, as an RWIN of 65535 isn't the best setting for your advertised speeds, and MTU can only be lowered, not increased, or you get packet fragmenting. I suggest that you use Cablenut and VanBuren's .css file for a 6000/768 Kbps connection. Comcast doesn't seem to be one of those evil ISPs, it's just that sometimes issues are forgotten, because it's a big company. Another idea would be to do a tracert to testmy.net to see if you somehow have a bad route to here.

Ok I have cablenut and a bunch of css files that are labled like "Cable & DSL 3000 384"

Now when you say use a file for 6000/768 Kbps you mean test each css file out until i end up getting 6000/768 or look for a specific css file that has 6000/768 settings? Becuase i dont see any that are

"Cable & DSL 6000 768"

Never mind i found the file throught a link! Thank you. Hopefully ill see an improvment

Go to these links and follow suggestions.  I have a wrt54gs router and use hyperwrt firmware and have done everthing detailed in the below posts.  My download speed is about 7000kbps and I am on the same plan you are on with comcast.
