Really? I know that BFG is king-sh*t, but I was unaware that evga were so awful. Thanks for the info.

Don't listen to him, he's just being biased.

BFG sucks at overclocking. Me and my friend's 6800 GT's never got past 1050 MHz on the memory without heavy artifacting, and others with other manufacturers, however, got to 415/1100 with no problems at all. So i'd say stick with the facts, instead of listening to some biased kid.

eVGA, XFX, Gainward, MSI are examples of good manufacturers. Gainward's warranty is very wide, so even if you break your card by overclocking, you can still RMA it, and they'd send you a new one free with no charge. But Gainward is only available in Europe.

I'm currently using a GeForce 7800 GTX from MSI, and I have it at 526/1440 when using a large fan, and 519/1420 for regular usage and gaming.

And that's not being biased? L.O.L.

It depends on the card, and while cards from certain manufacturers certainly OC better, it's no guarantee. BFG is preferred because of their lifetime warranty.

you gotta be shit'in me BFG sucks at overclocking, they are the best at overclocking i have 2 7800gtx's and there clock at 530mhz core and 1500mhz memory. And you do know that bfg overclocks right out of the box.

And they have the best guarantee even if you break it they will take it back and give you a new one.

I wount buy any other card manufacturer ever because BFG is sumply the best.

Umm.....i kno i started a forum about this but i can not find it.

Ne ways im thinkin bout gettin a graphics card and i need some recommendation for a descent graphics card for round 100-150 dollars

here are my system specs:

384 mb of ram

120 GB hard drive

AMD athlon xp 1800

AGP 4x and PCI

i have been thinkin bout this one(ive heard that this one is kinds outdated tho) : http://www.compusa.com/products/product_info.asp?product_code=316267&pfp=BROWSE

and also this onehttp://www.compusa.com/products/product_info.asp?product_code=336328&pfp=BROWSE

Also is my processor good enough for ordinary gaming

my old pc was almost the same as yours but i had a FX5900 Ultra, it could handle most games, Far Cry i runned smooth on medium settings, im pretty sure it was my CPU slowing me down.

I suggest you just add 512 MB more ram, get a second hand Radeon 9800 Pro or a Fx5900 Ultra, and maybe overclock that CPU, you may need some extra cooling then

with that you should manage to play new games even tho you might need to adjust details to offload the CPU

By the way Gainward overclock pretty well http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm05=1489033
