hey anybody got cablenut settings for optimum online 30 down/ 2 up connection....it would be appreciated

the 22.8 mbps was bypassing the router

:::.. Download Stats ..:::

Connection is:: 22847 Kbps about 22.8 Mbps (tested with 12160 kB)

Download Speed is:: 2789 kB/s

Tested From:: https://testmy.net/ (server2)

Test Time:: Wed Dec 21 16:46:13 EST 2005

Bottom Line:: 408X faster than 56K 1MB download in 0.37 sec

Diagnosis: Awesome! 20% + : 253.18 % faster than the average for host (optonline.net)

Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-8YREGI6SA

TCP options string = 020405b40103030401010402

MTU = 1500

MTU is fully optimized for broadband.

MSS = 1460

Maximum useful data in each packet = 1460, which equals MSS.

Default Receive Window (RWIN) = 921600

RWIN Scaling (RFC1323) = 4 bits (scale factor of 8)

Unscaled Receive Window = 57600

For optimum performance, consider changing RWIN to a multiple of MSS.

Other values for RWIN that might work well with your current MTU/MSS:

513920 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 8)

256960 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 4)

128480 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 2)

64240 (MSS x 44)

your not going to get much higher cause not all of opt online has been upgraded and is still being worked on and tested so wait a while and it might go up after all has be completed.  but for now  try changing the Default Receive Window (RWIN) to 1027840 and the GlobalMaxTcpWindowSize to 128480 and TcoWindowSize to 128480.  the only thing different from the old cablenut optonline settings is the 921600 is bumped upto 102780.

if it doesnt work you can go bac to your old settings. good luck :D

routers do that sometimes but try it without it and see what you get.  remember its cable and not stable like some dsl and fiber connections cause your sharing it with other people downloading at over 10 to 15+ mb so you get the idea.  i dont get my full all the time and definitly not during the day.
