maybe its a SBC side problem.  i have the pro plan at my house (north little rock, arkansas) and sometimes download will be 5-17KB/s yet upload is a constant 54KB/s, just give it time and it may resolve itself :s

YES!  That's exactly how mine is.  Downloads cap out at like, 32KBits per second, but upload is still normal 384 KBits/40'ish KBytes per second.  I usually just assume my modem's overheating, but I don't know anymore.

Oh, and Internet operation is still good, unless you attempt to receive a large'ish amount of data.  Such as if you try to load a web page, etc.

It's as if the packet size limit is suddenly a kilobyte.

Erm, it's possible testmy.net is far from your place and is causing these inaccurate results.  ^_~

I'm on the 1.5 plan (upgrade to 3.0 should be complete tomorrow), and since yesterday I've pulled no more than 512 kilobit.

P.S. Yes, I have reset my modem.  Latest speed test shows... 241 kbit
