Thanks for the replys, After reading much more I' learned the DW 6000 can not be tune very much and the software DW offers should be installed but at present I can not regester for MYDirecway to download the program and setup my E=mail. Hello , New to this but Hopefully will asked for help in a understanding manor. My system is a Intel 2.8 chip, XP Corp.sp2 op. sys. A new DW 6000 sat. w/ signal strength 75-77 First test was without tweaks between 4oo kbs and 5oo kbs connection and 4o kbs or so down load speed. Used Broadbandnuts tweaks for Firefox 1.0.4 Installed VanBurens Cablenut and CCs settings and this is what I did: re/start applied CCS W6000 Sat.2K 1460 cons account re/start Test (terrible) removed setting from reg. applied CCS W6000 Sat.2K 1500 cons account re/start Test (bad) changed tcpRec from 1460 to 1500 changed tcpSend from 1460 to 1500 Test :::.. Download Stats ..::: Connection is:: 112 Kbps about 0.1 Mbps (tested with 97 kB) Download Speed is:: 14 kB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net/ (server2) Test Time:: Wed Jun 22 2005 21:09:45 GMT-0500 (Central Daylight Time) Bottom Line:: 2X faster than 56K 1MB download in 73.14 sec Diagnosis: May need help : running at only 13.79 % of your hosts average (direcpc.com) Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-SX831CDZR I have got better results around 700 to 800 connection and 150 down loads(9X faster 56K) at different times of the night and day The Test that is shown was done about 9:00PM Central Thanks,I fell the need for speed. jrg
