My question...what exactly happens when you unplug the DW6000 for an extended period of time?

You are correct, I have done all the spyware, virus, etc maintenance.

DW6000

D-Link wireless router connected via ethernet to DW6000, local PC connected to router via ethernet

No, I have not been to Van Buren's site, I will give that a go when I get home

Spent roughly 2 hours on the phone with "support" and was instructed to run disk cleanup and empty my temp internet files (come on...is the best they can do) by a couple of different technicians.
