Thank you for the welcome.
I had them add it on today at around 6 or 7 PM EST. They said that all i'd need is a power cycle on the modem and that on their end it was showing me getting 6000/768. When I spoke to the second tech on the phone and he sent me to broadbandreports.com he said that those speeds were not even close to what I should be getting. When I tested it the first time on this site using the speed indicated on the first post of yours I got what I stated. Now every time I run it I quickly get to about 80% then it stops moving for about 20 seconds, goes to 90% stops for 20 seconds then goes to 100% Then it reports my speed at 1meg.
Now when I use the slower speeds it says that I am getting 5.4 megs. (This is on the 1024 I think it was test)
When I download from a site using direct connection, though, I get around the same speeds as I got before. 350-400kb/s. That is nowhere near the 600-700kb/s it says I SHOULD be getting.
So yeah i'm not sure why it is going to take a day for it to give me my speeds but i'll take your word on it and try testing it again tommorrow.
