    ------  Web100 Detailed Analysis  ------

    Cable modem/DSL/T1 link found.

Link set to Full Duplex mode

Information: throughput is limited by other network traffic.

    Good network cable(s) found

    Normal duplex operation found.

Web100 reports the Round trip time = 211.16 msec; the Packet size = 1460 Bytes; and

There were 6 packets retransmitted, 39 duplicate acks received, and 42 SACK blocks received

The connection was idle 0 seconds (0%) of the time

C2S throughput test: Packet queuing detected: 3.75%

S2C throughput test: Packet queuing detected: 11.27%

This connection is network limited 99.85% of the time.

Excessive packet loss is impacting your performance, check the auto-negotiate function on your local PC and network switch

Web100 reports TCP negotiated the optional Performance Settings to:

    RFC 2018 Selective Acknowledgment: ON

    RFC 896 Nagle Algorithm: ON

RFC 3168 Explicit Congestion Notification: OFF

    RFC 1323 Time Stamping: OFF

    RFC 1323 Window Scaling: OFF

Server 'nitro.ucsc.edu' is not behind a firewall. [Connection to the ephemeral port was successful]

Client is probably behind a firewall. [Connection to the ephemeral port failed]

    Packet size is preserved End-to-End

Server IP addresses are preserved End-to-End

Information: Network Address Translation (NAT) box is modifying the Client's IP address

Server says [204.95.117.94] but Client says [192.168.1.100]

The theoretical network limit is 0.41 Mbps

The NDT server has a 50.0 KByte buffer which limits the throughput to 3.73 Mbps

Your PC/Workstation has a 17.0 KByte buffer which limits the throughput to 0.63 Mbps

The network based flow control limits the throughput to 0.52 Mbps

  2. Yes, on all FTP connections.  I've tested it out on many different sites and it all averages about the same.  I also tried different clients, but nothing seems to help it.  Anyway, this problem hasn't always existed, just for the past few months it had.

  3. Hi, my downstream averages around 60KB/s except when I download something via FTP(port 21) then I get maybe around 10KB/s.I emailed my ISP about this and they suggested I unplug my radio(WaveRider) for about 5 minutes, replug it back in then restart my computer, that and disable my firewalls, but none of that seemed to help.  Do you guys have any ideas?
