I am not sure about that. We have been experiencing strange speed and connectivity issues in the Tallahassee area. Lots of people reporting fast speeds in the morning, then coming to a standstill at night (8mb plans at 1mb speeds). Lots of people reporting packet loss (whom never had a problem before and no hardware/system changes at their end). We are hoping the major degradtions in our region is due to them upgrading, but who knows.

I have heard some rumors from around town of some people are being upgraded from 6mb to 12mb and 8mb to 16mb. Can anyone confirm this?

Same exact thing has happened to me. I am on the 8mb plan and now my speeds are horrible. It all started right around the begining of August. I live in a home and we have had no chanegs to any tv/modem/computer setups. Average speeds before were 7500-9200. Comcast is coming next week to look at it. Now it is at: :::.. Wow that is bad...call them and let them know you are experiencing very slow speeds and that is not what you are paying for.
