Same here, but the upload works fine.

Well, Grande offers telephone, cable tv and cable internet here in Waco and has several different bundled packages. Starting Sept 1st I will have the 8000/768 cable internet, digital cable tv with HBOs and home telephone with Caller ID, call waiting and so on. My total bill is $129US a month. I think(guessing) that the same cable internet package by itself would be $80 or so, so I am getting a pretty good deal for all 3. Also, there is no cap. Usage is unlimited. I love Grande, can you tell?

I agree with amc. I usually get between 300KB and 600KB from most servers but from really good ones like Microsoft or Cnet's download.com I get 900KB to 1MB down.

I have an 8000/512 connection and get about 6800 down and 552 up with Avast! On Access Protection on, but when I turn it off I get 8700 down and 532 up. My download speeds way up and my upload slows down slightly. Anyway, I leave Avast! On Access Protection on while surfing but disable it when testing or downloading something. Anyone else see this also?

Hey, baker. Sorry it took so long to respond, I work nights and sleep days. Yeah it is cable. I actually have the 4000/128 plan but they keep boosting my speed for free because I am a good customer, or so they say. The speed is 8000/512 now and starting Sept 1st they are boosting it to 8000/768.

I have not seen anyone post on here about them. I am in Waco, Texas and I have the 8000/512 package. I am very pleased with Grande. Anyone in Texas that can get Grande should IMO.
