    Differences in Tested Upload Speeds

    Why is it that the reported upload speed from this site (testmy.net) is 18 kB/sec but the test on http://www.dslreports.com/speedtests reports an upload speed of 384 kBps?  I have tested each multiple times, so it's not just a sampling error.

    Connection is:: 144 Kbps about 0.1 Mbps (tested with 97 kB)

    Upload Speed is:: 18 kB/s

    Tested From:: https://testmy.net/ (server1)

    Test Time:: Sat Sep 10 2005 16:36:34 GMT-0400 (Eastern Daylight Time)

    Bottom Line:: 3X faster than 56K 1MB upload in 56.89 sec

    Diagnosis: May need help : running at only 49.15 % of your hosts average (rr.com)
