  1. compuworm, Yes i am a nub when it comes to this but i followed VanBuren's instructions to the letter and I ran the program and my speed dropped from 4 megs to 1. I do realize that it has helped a lot of people, and im not bashing it i just want some help to figure out what i did wrong to make cablenut screw my speed. As for the mode my NIC is set in, i have no idea, dont see the option for switching the duplex when looking at it....its a wireless card, not sure if that changes anything.

    I have applied your settings Blunted and it has come back to 4 meg, once again the computer directly connected to the router is running at 6-7megs still.

Hello, I have been having some problems with my speed but i had it fixed by swapping out modem but my computer using the wireless connection was still getting no more than 4 megs and the computer wired to the router was getting 6.5 minimum. I tried the cable nut tweak settings on my computer thats on the wireless connection now i have constant pauses my download speed has dropped by 2megs or more...I was wondering what i could have done wrong?

  6. No Help? When i say never above 4.5, i mean its usually more like 2 to 3 megs....a lot of times not above 2, please someone this is really annoying

    Here are my cable modem stats for the Linksys BEFCMU10 V2:

  7. I am using a Linksys BEFCMU10 V.2, I actually have a new Motorola SB5120 sitting around in its box if that ones better  :D

    BTW that 4.5meg is the highest I've EVER gotten...

  8. Hello guys, new to the forum but wanted to see if you guys could help to get my speed running the way it should  :D

    I speed test all the time, recently i used dslreports.com to tweak my settings and i went from never getting more than 2meg to getting around 4, but im still not getting the 6meg im supposed to. Any ideas?
