  1. Speed is great...generally around 6800-6900 kbps, occasionally up to 7400.  The speed is not always consistent and sometimes really plummets, though for very short periods.  I do not know if this is normal, or how much of a speed decrease should be expected during "peak" times.  I'm not complaining, in any case. :)

  2. How are these signal levels, I'm sufficiently clueless...

  4. Hi...and thanks for the welcome.  I apologize if I didn't put enough info in my earlier post.  I've  read the "sticky" notes at the top of the board.  I am running Windows XP Home Edition-SP2.  My ISP is Road Runner...and I reside approx. 25 miles from the server.  Advertised speeds are up to 5000 kbps down and 384 kbps up.  Prior to any tweaks I was getting between 2500-2900 kbps down, and began to test different RWINs...resulting in the speed increase noted above.  I have followed all instructions per the "sticky" notes and have installed CableNut 4.08 since my last post.  I have, thus far, gotten the best speed by using Vanburens cablenut settings version 5....the CCS for WIN2k_XP_SP2/WinXP_2K_CABLE_DSL/MSS1460, Cable and DSL 5000 384.  My speed was further improved and I've noticed no adverse effects of the settings, even though the tweak test at dsl reports recommends a lower RWIN.

These are tests I've run with my current settings...
