I am supposed to have up to 4.0 download(whatever that is)(supposedly 10x dsl) and and upload rate of 256kb. The tests show a VERY different story. Any help will be appreciated.

Is earthlink any good? Or what services at what rates seems to be the best?

I tried to you that thing that The Cable Guy was talking about, but i think it used my current ISP which is in a whole different state. I don't know but that seemed slow too. Maybe I am just with the wrong ISP.

unfortunately yeah. anyone know how fast AOL is advertised for, because I'm not sure?

But I have seen people on here with much faster connection for the same cost that I pay which is around $55. When I get back to Houston I'll have to test the speed of mycable modem there. We have AOL at home and I'm in Pine Bluff, Arkansas so I can somwhat see why.

I have cablelynx my advertised speed is 512 kbps maximum download rate and a 256 kbps maximum upload rate.
