I called to cancel boost and im still getting 25mbit down and hour and a half after calling. I even made sure that I was going to be back on my regular 15/2 service. Cant complain about that.

I have Optimum Online, Optimum Voice and iO currently. If and when FIOS comes to my town(North Babylon, NY, Suffolk County) can I just cancel Optimum Online and keep the other 2 or am I forced to signup for Verizons phone service?

being capped with optimum online doesnt seem to bother me anymore even though ive been capped twice before. I uploaded like 10 gigs for 12 straight hours the other night and ive been uploading for the last 6 hours and i havent been capped yet and i seem to do extended uploading all the time

Hey regardless its better than what you have right now. I never have problems with down or up speeds with 10/1 on Optimum.And the line is shared with lots and lots of people so don't even expect the full 20 Mbps except maybe 2% of the time and also if your in a really populated city , don't expect above 13 Mbps during the day and maybe 1600 up also, Optonline sux for cities.lol

He made a mistake its gonna be 20/2 and supposedly is gonna be a free upgrade. Optimum Online is great with speed and price.

the only way to not get capped on your speeds is to not upload a lot for a continous time period. you can download for as long as u want its the upload they check.

When Optimum Online caps your speeds it is for an indefinite amount of time most likely forever. This means you have to call them up to see if your being capped and then they read you something and you have to agree to it and then they uncap your modem. You are only allowed this 4 times or else they will suspend or terminate your service. I have 2 strikes against me as well

Forget my last post, last night my connection looks to have reset and gone back to the regular 15/2 speeds.
