Just looked at Cablenut and all the CSS and settings. I don't know which one applies to us. I know we are on ADSL here and are supposed to be getting a 4MB link but Telefonica have a weird system here and I'm not sure whether its PPPoE or not. (Whatever that is) I just know that in the router settings that its ticked!

Hi Tommie, I haven't used AVG free in safe mode, would it make a difference? I regularly clean the registry as I have to demo lots of games for the shop before I buy them. I will try cablenut on the server this weekend as we are shutting the shop to upgrade the computers with new graphics cards and bigger harddrives. I tried TCPOptimize but to be quite honest I wasn't terribly sure what it did or whether it improved things or not. I tested it on my laptop too (where my Guild Wars is) and it definitely improved the smooth running of the game. I will let you know on Monday the results of the cablenut file tweak. Hi Tommie, Thanks for the links. I use the Adaware cleaner and AVG Free which seems to do the job most of the time. I have had some trouble getting onto Guild Wars lately and my line keeps dropping when I eventually get on. Truthfully, I think its Telefonica

We pay 29.90 Euros a month (about 38 Dollars) for a very unreliable 1 MB connection here in the mountains.Its not bad at the moment but test done at 6 in the morning!
