  2. Hi, yestarday my internet was working 100% fine, today I came back from school and found out this:

    :::.. Download Stats ..:::

    Connection is:: 168 Kbps about 0.2 Mbps (tested with 97 kB)

    Download Speed is:: 21 kB/s

    Tested From:: https://testmy.net/ (server2)

    Bottom Line:: 3X faster than 56K 1MB download in 48.76 sec

    Diagnosis: 90% + Okay : running at 93.33 % of your hosts average (114.217)

    Why is my host 114.217?! it's supposed to be Ameritech! And my ping to google is above 150.. what's going on? No I don't have any viruses/adware/spyware. Yes I am using cablenut with vans tweaks, I tried without as well. No, no firewall and my router is just fine (tried without router too).. what could it be? Oh and my package is 1.5 mb SBC dsl

  3. Too bad. I had Comcast till today.. horrible, HORRIBLE ping times. I got SBC this morning and works like a charm. I'm paying 15 bux for the 1.5 package and getting 1.3, pretty good. and pings are below 30 constantly.. I get 11 on my CSS game server. I'm so glad I got it. (no I don't work for SBC)

  4. Is there a way to lower ping times? When I ping yahoo, comcast or google I get over 120 and same thing when I play on my counter strike server which is located in chicago (I live in chicago)... It's very jumpy all the time.. if I ping comcast it goes something like 100, 52, 324, 93, 254

    Maybe a bit better than yours but trust me I get less than 60% of what I'm supposed to be getting on most tests here.. And for some reason my tests go down ALOT after each try..

  8. I'm measuring the pings in a game called Sounter Strike Source and my server is located in Chicago, I live 10 minutes away.. I used to have pings of around 60-80 (still bad but much better than the 110 im currently getting..

    Oh and I have Comcast HSI

    Please give me tips of how I could improive my pings. Please don't ask me to post speed tests or try to directly connect to my modem... Just tips like changing something idk..

  11. I've disabled quite a few services in the administrator section thing and my downloading speed has gone down dramatically. Can you tell me if I disabled something wrong? Here are the screenshots (P.S sorry for black and white, they were too big)
