Try going to control panel / Sounds and audio devices / Sounds.

In the list of sounds at the bottom, scroll down to the "Start Navigation" sound and click on it, then in the dropdown box choose "None" and apply.

Thanks, that worked. A friend of mine tried to tell me how to do it, but either he's an idiot, or I am.

Anyone know how to turn them off? I mean like every time a page refreshes or you hit enter in a form, it makes a click sound. I've gone into my control panel and internet options, but I'm not seeing a place to turn them off.

It gets quite annoying.

My cable/phone company offers the following package for cable internet:

Download speed up to 256 kbps (it doesn't even advertise the upload speed) for $39.95/month (with modem and surge protector lease).

To make matters worse, here are my latest tests:

I've installed cablenut, ran spybot and Norton anti-virus and nothing is wrong.I've also read some of the other stuff on here, but nothing seems to help

I'm about to throw the whole thing out the window.
