oh cool thanks man, so what your saying is that getting the ethernet cable will actully up my speed 50%? thats huge i didnt think a wireless adapter would slow it down that much.. 1 prob though. im upstairs and his comp is downstairs

K i understand that hes directly connected but can you explain how i get my own router and connect it? im confused he has the router and the other box thing and then i have a little linksys wireless-B 802.11b thing that connects me to the router

Hello, Iv used testmy.net for quite a while now and I have just recently got fed up with the way my connection is working. these are the stats. I turned off antivirus and it made it go up 8 more percent but its still low Your connection is: 2781 Kbps
