  1. OMFG, I can't believe how stupid I am... I just realized I'm using a wireless router.... lol, my actual speed is 11mb... wow... I feel dumb. Thank's for your help!
  2. I see that there are a lot of programs and things available here for people trying to get better speeds but they're all for windows systems. Being in the minority of computer users I'm used to not having software available but I was just wondering if there's anything a mac user can do. I have comcast cable. 5mp plan as far as I know. I'm getting kind of inconsistent results. Most of the time I get results like this. Your connection is: 2756 Kbps (about 2.8 Mbps) You downloaded at: 336 kB/s Your TRuSPEED: ^info^ 2949 Kbps :: 360 kB/s (7% overhead factored) Bottom Line: You are running: 49 times faster than 56K and can download 1 megabyte in 3.05 second(s) Diagnosis: May need help : running at only 58.07 % of your hosts average (comcast.net) Though some times I get results like this. Your connection is: 4326 Kbps (about 4.3 Mbps) You downloaded at: 528 kB/s Your TRuSPEED: ^info^ 4629 Kbps :: 565 kB/s (7% overhead factored) Bottom Line: You are running: 77 times faster than 56K and can download 1 megabyte in 1.94 second(s) Diagnosis: 90% + Okay : running at 91.15 % of your hosts average (comcast.net) Does anyone have any suggestions that this lowly mac user could use?
