I downloaded 81% of the file for the test. 0-33%= 127-131KB 33-40%= 132-135KB 40-81%= 134-140KB Gradually increased from 134KB @40% to 140KB @81% What did this tell me? Thanks

For some reason when I run the first speed test it is always between 500-700 kbps ans stalls at 4-6% then continues normally. All subsequent tests are 1000+ without stalling. If I close IE and re-open the test site and retest, the first test will again stall at 4-6%. What could this be telling me?

Trogers was helping me with slow DSL speeds and he suggested I post here for additional help. He stated "1. modem/router configuration - timed out in your trace route between 1st and 2nd paths and this causes high latency (ave 520 ms). If you are in USA, ave latency should not exceed 100 ms". I am in the USA and my modem is a Speedstream 5220. Is there any way to correct this? I have never come close to the expected 90% of my rated speed of service.
