  2. thanks for the advice trogers. I sent this to the manager of my rental office. [table][tr][td] Just wanted to share this with you. Something needs to be done about this soon. This is my third year living here and it's cool, but the internet has always been an on and off problem. I had to drive to another apartment's parking lot yesterday with my laptop so I could download a file that I needed for class. I shouldn't have to do that. I know you are doing your best but someone needs to light a fire under Fusion Broadband's ass. :::.. I got about 35 Kbps download on their test. Checking for Middleboxes . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 7. Ok so I'm in college and I live in an off campus apartment complex. High-Speed Internet is included in our rent from Fusion Broadband. Good connection right?? Well starting at 3am it's okay... but I just did a speed test now since it's running so slow and got 86 kbps down and 606 up. I called the company and they said that they are going to send me some diagnostic tests (THEIR speed test, ping, line, etc). It's been like this every day and finally I'm fed up with it. I had 3 exams in the past 2 days and I've been awake for 50 straight hours. I just wanted to play a game of Call of Duty 2 on xbox 360 before I passed out. Wow now I'm getting frustrated with these people. Needless to say, this company signed a contract to provide high speed internet and they can't put a good enough network in to support the complex. So I sent my apartment leasing office an email yesterday and got this back just a few minutes ago. "Yes we are aware of our Internet system. We are looking into upgrading the system but we are not sure when this will take place. We are sorry for the inconvenience. Jennifer Redd Leasing Manager" Anyone have any ideas of what I should do? Can I withhold rent and get comcast high-speed or something if they will not fix the problem? Well, that said, you may want to stay away from Fusion.
