  1. thanks for the help but no luck, I've already tried using the last good configuration but no it didn't work either
  2. it's a win 2000. nothing I know of was installed prior to this happening. I've done scans with avast, Ad-Aware, and Spybot and it came up with nothing
  3. I have a major problem with a computer, when I turn it on windows starts loading configuration, network setting ect. but after that nothing happens. It's just blue and I don't see the desktop or anything. I can start it in safe mode though. there are no problems with the device manager. I think I tried just about everything I can think of but I don't know what's going on. any help would be appreciated
  4. well said Stank_Ho
  5. what about the mac mini?
  6. I'm with you, I can't wait for Tiger
  7. but what about Virtual PC? run that program and just about anything that works with windows can work on a mac
  8. yea that would have been better but most mac users usually use both. like I have a windows 2000 as the server for our wireless router but I prefer the Mac 10.3 for browsing and work. have you tried using Panther before?
  9. a stupid question but I decided to ask it anyhow I prefer Mac X 10.3
  10. yea I heard they were doing bad I have starband 360 and it runs at about 550kbps on average
  11. thanks vanburen I hope it works
  12. it seems like the pctel speaker phone service is needed to run the service control manager............now what?
  13. but I can't reinstall it , it was never installed on this computer and I don't know what it is
  14. ok I think I narrowed down the problem. I followed what it said to do in the link van gave me. I went to event viewer and looked why it keeps giving me that error message it says: The W2K PCtel speaker phone service failed to start due to the following error: the system cannot find the file specified I need to know how to get rid of it Thanks
