I live in Costa Mesa and my upload just went up to 768 kbps the other day while the download stayed the same. So I ran the activation wizard since I formatted and forgot to do that, we'll see if that did anything or not.

Is this going to only be New York, or will it expand to other areas (read: southern California) as well? I'm moving 5GB of files to another server and the !@#$ing slow upload speed is KILLING me (been doing this for 11 hours now )!

This is my mom's connection so I dunno what the upload is but the download is supposed to be 1.5 Mb/s (DSL)...

Thanks It was worse a couple months ago (Feb - Apr timeframe) but I constantly nagged Comcast to fix the node and they put me on another one, which seems to have helped my speeds immensely .

I just got the 10/1 speed here in Costa Mesa California earlier today (2/15/2007) ...
edit - my old download speed was between 900 - 950 kb / s so this IS an improvement believe it or not...
