well i uploaded a 3.51G file to my ftp in 20 minutes and I couldnot beleive it either so I got this screenshot of my ftp.. http://www.mybackyardsite.com/ftpupload.jpg

you are right, it was cached , the browser i was using seemed to keep the files in a different folder than the rest of the temp files, but needless to say.. before comcast upgraded i was only getting an upload avg of 50kb/s to my website and now i get about 2.8mb/s avg. they said they're upgrade was only going to affect the d/l and raise it to 12mb/s.. i ran the test on another browser and got lower scores... and ran different size on the same browser and got lower scores as well

with the current upgrades comcast is doing to try to keep up with fios, they left the filter off for the time being in some areas and i got this after clearing my cache :::.. I had that same issue as well, they would start and not finish... they timed out.. after i broke the files into .rar format they went fine..
