Thanks. I just got my Comcast installed today. Looking over this forum brought on a couple questions:
1) I know programs like cablenut are around to tweak your system to get more bandwidth. Since I'm right at the advertised speed for my Comcast package, would this mean that these tweaks wouldn't really be worth much to me?
2) My installer guy said today that the cap around here is 11Mbps. While I was doing a speed test a speakeasy.com, the meter briefly hit 11Mbps and at the end and registered that speed. It hasn't happend since. I know the PowerBoost technology has been developed, but that will be rolled out over the rest of the year and hasn't reached our area yet. So since the cap is higher than my advertised amount, is it possible (and legal) to try to get that (without hacking modems, of course)?
