Hi guys, I'm living in a city named Ipoh in Malaysia. I'm currently using Streamyx ISP from http://www.tm.net.my/html/pstreamyx.cfm with adsl advertised speed 1024 down / 384 up package. I use Windows XP home edition with SP2 . My modem is ZTE zxdsl 831 and connecting via Ethernet adapter WAN-Miniport PPPoE.
well I already did use this STICKY POST guide from VanBuren -> https://testmy.net/topic-2097
and I'm using cablenut to tweak my connection and used VanBuren's setting of MTU 1480 for adsl 1500 (because it doesn't have a setting for 1024)
Anyway, I will post again according to the sticky post made by Vanburen:
1.What OS are you running? Examples: Windows 98, Windows XP. If you have XP make sure you have SP2 installed! Also download the p2p fix for SP2 here
Answer: Yes, I've done that and set it to 50
2.Who your Internet Service Provider (ISP) is, and what the advertised speed for download/upload is.
Answer:Streamyx from http://www.tm.net.my/html/pstreamyx.cfm. The advertised speed is 1024 down / 384 up.
3.What tweaking programs you already have installed, and run this test. Copy all text and paste it in your post! For security reasons, blank out your IP #.
Answer: I use Cablenut.

TCP options string = 020405a001010402
MTU = 1480
MTU is optimized for Windows XP PPoE DSL broadband. If not, consider raising MTU to 1500 for optimal throughput.
MSS = 1440
MSS is optimized for Windows XP PPPoE DSL broadband. If not, consider raising your MTU value.
Default TCP Receive Window (RWIN) = 31680
RWIN Scaling (RFC1323) = 0 bits
Unscaled TCP Receive Window = 31680
RWIN is a multiple of MSS
Other RWIN values that might work well with your current MTU/MSS:
506880 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of
253440 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 4)
126720 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 2)
63360 (MSS x 44)
bandwidth * delay product (Note this is not a speed test):
Your TCP Window limits you to: 1267.2 kbps (158.4 KBytes/s) @ 200ms
Your TCP Window limits you to: 506.88 kbps (63.36 KBytes/s) @ 500ms
MTU Discovery (RFC1191) = ON
Time to live left = 56 hops
TTL value is ok.
Timestamps (RFC1323) = OFF
Selective Acknowledgements (RFC2018) = ON
IP type of service field (RFC1349) = 00000000 (0)
4.What speed do you have against https://testmy.net and http://nitro.ucsc.edu/ also download this Tracert and Ping program (made by php) and click on check.bat. When it's done, copy and paste the results in your post.
