The tech said that there was a problem with the line. But he was very helpful unlike the rep over the phone.

Back to speed. I used the self support tool http://help.sbcglobal.net/article.php?item=3910 Through this tool i was able to talk to a technician, and he fixed my problem. I hope this helps other people that are having the same problem. :::.. I call att, and his rep said that there is nothing wrong with the line. I asked him about synching my modem, but he said that there was nothing to do since i was getting a connection and i was getting 1.6 mbps, whics covers the advertised speed.(1.5~3.0 mbps)

Yes, I am.

I've used tune up utilities 2006 to tweak my connection. As I mentioned before, everything was working fine until my speedstream 5360 broke. I do clean ups daily.
-

I had a Speedstream 5360 modem from sbc but one day stopped working. Now I have tried 3 different routers including a 5360 but i can't get the speed i was getting before (2.6 mbps) bytheway, i have sbc pro. I am getting about 1.6~1.75.I've checked my computer for viruses, spyware, and adware and nothing came out. I did power cycle the router, i keep getting the same speed. Right now, i am using a 1000HW 2Wire Router. Hopefully, someone might be able to help me. :::..
