I live near Portland, OR when I run the latency test for New York I get about 110 ms. I don't think I should be getting a number this high to the east coast. My download/upload speeds are fine. One interesting thing I have found is that I get a lower latency when I run the test on single connection (85 ms) but I get a lower download speed. I have been trying to play a game with a server located in New York and having 115 ping makes it really tough. Would really appreciate any advice anyone could give me.
