Use Diskeeper. The built in windows degragmenter is S#!t compared to it. The home version is 30 bucks after you get finished with the trial. I paid 50 and got the professional version, but the home one will more than do the trick.
I second that! The new version (2007) runs wonderfully well on Vista.

Yes, the XP defragger worked ok, but it lacked the background defrag option which is what i like most abt the 2007 version. It preempts fragmentation without sucking the CPU.
