I have seen advertised a DirecTV add-on to the Dway dish. I guess it is like a $50 dollar piece that just connects on the end of the DWAY dish. I already have DirecTV but I am a bit leery about them both comming through on 1 dish. Does anyone already have this add-on and does it work well? Because I end up loosing signal on my Dway more often than I do with the TV signal, I am wondering if it will still function the same. Thanks

It says that it will be usefull for Real-time multimedia streaming and large file content distribution. Wonder what this means for FAP and upstream speeds. It is also interesting how they report different data rate speeds for different protocols such as http, udp, and ftp. Http they say will be at least 2Mbps. Looking back, the DW6000 only says up to 2Mbps. Still no mention of upstream speed as far as I can tell. I am also curious as to why they haven't posted anything about the 7000 since they have the 7700 up. The 7700 is geared more toward businesses, so I wonder how differently these features will be on the 7000

I realize that Direcway is plain awful for running any P2P programs because of the built in firewall, blocking of ports and NAT, but has anyone found anyway to increase connections. Mostly I just run Emule and Bittorrent, and it always takes weeks to finish a download. Does anyone have any suggestions I could use to increase speed/connections to peers. I am sick of it being TOO SLOW!!!!

This tool sounded cool so I downloaded it, however I cannot get it to detect my DW6000 system. Anybody know why and can offer a little help?

Well, Cable and Verizon DSL are available 1/2 from my house, but they just won't come onto my road. So for right now I am stuck with Direcway.

Hey I am new here and am looking to get faster speeds. I was getting about 80 kb down, until I set up my proxy correctly, and now I get about 105-110 I just tried this optimizer and tested several times on Testmy and got download speeds ranging from 20 - 80. I am running a dw6000 and have had it a little over a year now. I used the restore backup in the program and am getting speeds back to 105-110. Should I try it again or what? Sorry to sound so newbish, I have been trying to read up on this site quite a bit lately.
