mine is running on a dedicated server.
But the only way to really get more dl speed is to upload more.
at my house I have a 12Mbps/512K connection and onthat same torrent I couldnt go above 80KB/s. On the server though, since it was uploading at almost 3MB/s, it was downloading at arround 5MB/s
So the more u share, the more u get I think.

Hello
Ok, i just bought a dedicated server and its working briliantly, however my friend wishes to login so that I cant teach him how to use some software I installed on the server.
The thing is, we have split sessions. I myself have used shared sessions before, but I dont know how to set it up that way.
So the question is, how can I make it so when he logins tru admin and I login tru admin we both see the same thing and interact with it at the same time?
I have tried using VNC Server and Remote Desktop but VNC is giving me a weird error.
Pleas help! Thanks!!

Those ping seem to be kinda high, most users avg arround 30 - 40, some may get 20 - 30. From what ive read here b4, smartbro sucks and theres not a lot to go on to repair that :

Install K-Lite Codec Pack (http://free-codecs.com/K_Lite_Codec_Pack_download.htm)
Download and extract VirtualDubMod (http://virtualdubmod.sourceforge.net/)
Load up the video u wish to convert on vdubmod, save as, choose format, tweek it and encode it. Its pretty useful, most other converters out there u gota pay for them.
Hope thats clear ^^

I managed to resolve the slow login problem, I just needed to change the dns of my computers to the ip of my server. But im still stuck with user policies and the network drive thing.
I hope someone can help me out, or point me to a tutorial with info on this ~_~

Howdi guys!
So, ive installed a Windows Server 2003 on one of my house computers to have a centrlized way of loggin in to all my computers. I have a couple of questions though, I hope someone can answe them.
1) How do I edit users permisions and computer enviroments (for example, changin the theme from windows xp to classic, setting a background etc, managing what type of apps they can install)?
2) How do I assign a network drive to all the users, I mean like when they log on to any computer a network drive with their files will appear, and if someone else logs in they have theirs (insted of the last user)
I bet this is a lot to cover, but I just need to be pointed in the right direction, maybe a tutorial or something.
oh an before I forget, when I make a basic account and try to login to it via the domain, it takes a good 5 to 8 min for it to log in, when I know it can log in, in less than a min.
Thanks a million!

Running Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise
"Temporary failure in name resolution" Linux Problem :\

Howdi.
I hope one of the linux technicians in the forum could help me out with this one.
I am trying to install a simple LAMP server with this tutorial: (http://www.howtoforge.com/installing_a_lamp_system_with_fedora_core_6)
I have followed that tutorial step by step up to where I need to use yum to install some packages. When I try to do that, I get an error saying "Temporary failure in name resolution" I am imagining this has something to do with the DNS servers?
I am running a dedicated server, and running vmware on top of it to install Linux. I have 6 IPs and I have binded one to Linux at install (it says everything is ok and binds ok to it). I tried pingin to its ip from my PC and no luck, however from the server lan I was able to.
Any help? If need more info, ill be glad to post it.
