OK, so I just got off the phone with Shaw... speed package is... extreme service, 15 mbs down and 1 mbs up. zalternet, you may be on to something when guessing about line splitter. I live in a 4plex.. my neighbor is with Telus. So Telus was here 3 days ago fooling around with an octopus of cables and splitters on the outside of my building. Seems my connection has been lagging since. So tomorrow morning I will be replacing the cable going to my computer modem (as per requested by Shaw, although I think it's a waste of time). If that doesn't help with my speed they will arrange for a tech person to come over and see what's going on.

Tomorrow I will test at 8am, 2pm, and 8pm as advised and will post results.. What do you mean by package speed? and can you get it from info pasted above? so again, thanks for advice. hi everyone, hoping for some advice. I'm with Shaw cable. My internet connection is slow so I used this website to do a download speed test. The result was 18% of Shaw average. I called Shaw, told them what the problem was. They directed me to two different web sites for speed test. Both showed normal average speed. The websites Shaw uses are... <snip> and speakeasy.net. My internet connection is indeed slow and xbox 360 live can not be played as a result. Not sure what my next step should be since Shaw disagrees with me. edited site that has been banned for spamming this site.
