Well, techincally we don't have a modem, that is what are main router is, a modem and a router.

I't doesn't have anything to do with the routers. It has something to do with my comp. When im hardwired i still go slow.

They both are access points.

They are both wireless g. One is in a room across the house. We got a large network wire and put the other router as close as we could to the other side. We connect to which ever one we can for best signal.
