Guest jeffwalker9999 Posted January 26, 2006 CID Share Posted January 26, 2006 Got a question about one of the cablenut settings :: DefaultTOSValue What values can be put in this setting? [ most of VanB have 240 ] I'm on cox cable here in las vegas , and if I do try a different value [ like 92, 254 ,etc ] I see no changes after I change the value from https://www.speedguide.net tcp/ip analyzer page [ clean -noncached page - I always make sure of that - don't want wrong info ] I'm getting the values for this field from http://forums.speedguide.net/showthread.php?p=1122773#post1122773 Does this mean that Cox is not supporting Also is there a different test url/site that I could use to also see these values?? DefaultTOSvalue - The IP header in every datagram specifies a Type of Service (ToS) value that can be used to specify the quality of service (QoS) setting for IP datagrams. The ToS value indicates the military origin of the protocol because it was designed for the Advanced Research Project Agency Networks that was the predecessor to the current Internet. Value Type: REG_DWORD Valid Range: 0255 Default: 0 also read this thread http://www.broadbandnuts.com/index.php?PHPSESSID=0129428731711f0c451c6edb09cd5dd2&topic=1878.0 VanBuren
