twinkcentral Posted February 13, 2006 CID Share Posted February 13, 2006 Is there any differences between a Cable CSS and a Fiber Optic CSS? I have Cox Cable new premier 15/2 service. I am using a CSS designed for use with Verizon FIOS, file is named Verizon_fios_DHCP_15000_2000.css What fields should I change if any, to optimize this for use on a cable connection? I am currently getting results like the following, but they fluctuate pretty wildly. Have seen them jump from 4M all the way to this high of 9M :::.. Download Stats ..::: Connection is:: 9146 Kbps about 9.1 Mbps (tested with 12160 kB) Download Speed is:: 1116 kB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net (server1) Test Time:: Mon Feb 13 06:14:50 EST 2006 Bottom Line:: 163X faster than 56K 1MB download in 0.92 sec Diagnosis: Awesome! 20% + : 122.42 % faster than the average for host (cox.net) Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-GXOCE9BJU My upload speeds also jump all around, but generally sit around 1.6 to 1.8M Any help in this is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for any help. "May your download speeds exceed your advertised by 50%"
