jypagan Posted April 8, 2006 CID Share Posted April 8, 2006 behind your router you will have a small hole use a paper clip and insert it for 10sec this will reset you router to its original configuration before all that what version do you have Version A or C

justinlay Posted April 12, 2006 Author CID Share Posted April 12, 2006 Well i restarted the router to the default settings it ran fine for about 13 hours then i had to reboot it again to work. Do you think i may need a new router??
Swimmer Posted April 12, 2006 CID Share Posted April 12, 2006 I had issues with my DI-524 also.. However, I couldnt even get the latest firmware on it.. well i did but it turned it into a crash machine.. all it did was reset over and over. I would recommend not running the latest firmware from Dlink on the 524.. There was another thread that discuess this problem. It seems that on some of the models the firmware would run fine.. and on other models it wouldnt run at all or is would be so buggy that all it would do is restart endlessly. The 524 is a decent router.. it is more the firmware issue than a hardware issue. If you can run the older firmware stable then I would do that.. otherwise look for a newer router. Swimmer Posted April 13, 2006 CID Share Posted April 13, 2006 good to hear.. yeah for some reason Dlink is having quality problems with the DI-524.. I guess that is why they are trying to get rid of them so everyone moves to the DI-
