Swimmer Posted April 21, 2006 CID Share Posted April 21, 2006 You could set up different profiles in IE.. to use a proxy. Looking now.. maybe setting up two different profiles in XP to handle this.
wafrenkel Posted April 21, 2006 Author CID Share Posted April 21, 2006 umm... im talking about like, making a bat file, that will check to see if it needs a proxy, possibly by like pinging the proxy? Then enabling it, if it can ping it... otherwise keep it off, know what i mean? i just need a document to execute a check and to load it.

resopalrabotnick Posted April 22, 2006 CID Share Posted April 22, 2006 if both the proxy and your at home connection use dhcp windows should be able to find the proxy by itself or just connect straight through depending on what is the case. that is what the ie/tools/internet options/connection/automatically configure settings is for no? Swimmer Posted April 22, 2006 CID Share Posted April 22, 2006 http://msdn.microsoft.com/msdnmag/issues/05/08/AutomaticProxyDetection/default.aspx http://www.davidpashley.com/articles/automatic-proxy.html I think what you are looking for is more in the second one.. However, take a look at the first one.. it uses .Net 2.0..
