Swimmer Posted April 29, 2006 CID Share Posted April 29, 2006 check the router.. icmp traffic should be allow in and there should be a setting for vpn traffic. Also look for a setting, it is isnt a production class of equipment, to allow ping from the WAN.. that should take care of the ping issues.. Next you are going to need a vpn server.. http://www.onecomputerguy.com/networking/xp_vpn_server.htm then configure his computer to log onto the network.. You might need to put the server box into the DMZ for it to work correctly..
jamaicarocks Posted April 29, 2006 Author CID Share Posted April 29, 2006 Sorry for not explaining properly.......the server at uucsoloar is running 2003 server and vpn is seyup on the naming accounts in active directory and in R&R services ........so I guess it's the icmp traffic blocking pinging
