Stranger Posted July 17, 2006 CID Share Posted July 17, 2006 I have a Broadcom 802.11 b/g WLAN adapter installed in my Compaq Presario Notebook and a Westell 327W router (both work fine, when used one at a time). The adapter sees the router, but can not connect (actually, when I try to do it no error message is generated, just nothing happens). I have tried all the tricks with permissions and access, but nothing helped. Does anybody know, are these two devices ever compatible? Although unlikely, it may be the result of a problem in my WinXP, but I have never heard of such a problem in this system...
Swimmer Posted July 17, 2006 CID Share Posted July 17, 2006 everything should play nice... Both the modem/router and the wifi card a IEEE certified. Might want to get the latest drivers for the laptop.. turn off wep.. and give that a try..
