Guest philp Posted October 2, 2006 CID Share Posted October 2, 2006 When you type the first few letters of an e-mail addy, Outlook autofills or suggests possible matches. I guess it's a default. My question is, how do you delete a name so it doesn't come up again? And no, I'm not trying to hide a girlfriend from my wife. It's actually my boss asking because he inadvertantly sent an e-mail to the wrong person. Thanks in advance for any help.

Guest philp Posted October 2, 2006 CID Share Posted October 2, 2006 It's what we have at work. I don't care for it because it there's too much BS. But I will pass that on and see if it helps. Do you know if it's the same for 2002? Thanks once again for your quick reply.
Guest philp Posted October 3, 2006 CID Share Posted October 3, 2006 Well, that wasn't exactly what he was looking for, but we did find a workaround. If you type in the first 3 letters and let it autosuggest the name, hit enter to display the address. Then right click the addy, select properties and change the display name to something you'll never type, such as "%$&", that addy will never autosuggest again.
