afrokenshin Posted November 9, 2006 CID Share Posted November 9, 2006 I was browsing the forum and saw a topic that had something about tcp optimizer I download it, I checked the largest mtu and it said 1500, and then I set the speed thing to 16000 and picked optimal and then I rebooted cleared all my cookies and temp files and tested the first test I got 17000 somewhere around there then the seconded test I got 6 megs, then I got this, :::.. Download Stats ..::: Download Connection is:: 25813 Kbps about 25.8 Mbps (tested with 12160 kB) Download Speed is:: 3151 kB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net/ (Server 1) Test Time:: 2006/11/08 - 8:18pm Bottom Line:: 450X faster than 56K 1MB Download in 0.32 sec Tested from a 12160 kB file and took 3.859 seconds to complete Download Diagnosis:: Awesome! 20% + : 367.8 % faster than the average for host (comcast.net) D-Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-TVYPCSLFG User Agent:: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1) Gecko/20061010 Firefox/2.0 [!] so my question is, is this good or should I set my settings back to the way they where. cuz these can't be my speeds I'm on the 6 meg plan. Sparticus Posted November 9, 2006 CID Share Posted November 9, 2006 Comcast had some new power boost. I'm guessing that is why your speeds are higher.
afrokenshin Posted November 9, 2006 Author CID Share Posted November 9, 2006 thats cool the only thing I don't like the speeds fluctuate to much.
