mattmag Posted February 10, 2007 CID Share Posted February 10, 2007 My host always used to be listed as mchsi.com, for Mediacom. Then, it has since changed to "9.31" which is pretty much useless when trying to compare speeds, etc. Any ideas?? Thanks-- -Matt
Swimmer Posted February 10, 2007 CID Share Posted February 10, 2007 It is because the ip address does not register with one particular ISP.. So you are seeing the last few digits.. what happens most of the time is that your ISP has put into service some new addresses. It will just take some time before it propagates though the network. mattmag Posted February 11, 2007 Author CID Share Posted February 11, 2007 OK, that makes sense--- didn't think of it as the last part of the IP block. Guess I'll wait to be recognized again! Thanks-- -Matt
