I even formatted the drive and did a clean install of XP...not much help as u can see. I just know I must be missing something obvious here, speeds others complain bitterly about would make me jump for joy : - ) System is Compaq Pres running 1.4 GH with 256MB SDRAM DW4000 through USB 2 :::..
