mrunclesam Posted July 11, 2007 CID Share Posted July 11, 2007 I have a 75kbps connection through ADSL modem ZTE ZXDSL 831 series. Now using a hub can i share the internet. The connection is provided with username and password. I tried but simultaneously it is not connecting. Someone suggested me to use a router. If yes, what makes the difference. pl. suggest. resopalrabotnick Posted July 11, 2007 CID Share Posted July 11, 2007 the tidier solution would be to hook up a router to the modem and then the following pcs to the router. however, if you don't want to invest in/install any new hardware (the router will cost you around 30 to 50 bucks) you can have one comp connect and use the windows connection sharing to let that computer operate as a router for the other computers in the network. the only disadvantage in that scenario is that the sharing comp has to be on in order for the other comps to surf.
