keith1178 Posted October 1, 2008 CID Share Posted October 1, 2008 Hello everybody.....I have to send my laptop off to HP for a free repair and I was wondering if there was anyway to copy the entire hard drive to an external hard drive....I have quite a few programs I no longer have a disk to and it would be easier to just plug it in and get going when I get it back. HP said that there was a possiblity of them doing a system restore and I really dont want to go through it if at all possible....I have a 250GB external seagate hard drive and a hp pavillion dv 9000 laptop.....Thanks in advance.....You guys haven't let me down yet
ninjageek Posted October 2, 2008 CID Share Posted October 2, 2008 If its xp you have ghost 2003 has never let me down once. Not sure it will work on vista. Acrons has failed me one to many times. Ghost 14 may be ok as well. Never used it myself.
peepnklown Posted October 2, 2008 CID Share Posted October 2, 2008 If you have VISTA, you might want to look into Complete PC Backup .
