cscheeser Posted October 11, 2008 CID Share Posted October 11, 2008 Hi, I'm seeing vastly difference upload perforrmance depending on which speed test I use. same performance on imac g5 and dell laptop, both connected directly to the modelm. speedtest says 600 Kbps up (which is fine), however testmy says 35kpbs (not fine). Uploading photos to a snapfish is nearly impossible, so I'm guessing the testmy number is more accurate. however my dsl provider (cincinnati bell) insists everything is ok b/c speedtest says 600. How are these two tests different? Has anyone else had this issue? What do I do? Cortney from Cincinnati
cscheeser Posted October 12, 2008 Author CID Share Posted October 12, 2008 Hi, To clarify, I'm paying for 5 mbps download, and i get 4.2 mbps. upload is my only issue. both computers are connected directly to dsl modem. if both are having the trouble, feels like the service, not the computers. so is it worth trying bible-suggestions?
