Xalvalt Posted February 16, 2005 Author CID Share Posted February 16, 2005 802.11G, to be more specific it's a Linksys WRT54G
rethompson808 Posted February 16, 2005 CID Share Posted February 16, 2005 I have the Linksys BEFW11S4 wireless B router and it tops out on the wireless side at around 4800 down with 128bit WEP on. If i turn that off i can hit 5000. If i plug my laptop into the router i can hit 6000 and that is the limit on my service. My uploads always seem to test low when i test through testmy.net. I don't know why.

Xalvalt Posted February 16, 2005 Author CID Share Posted February 16, 2005 Well thank you. The 3mb didn't look right but that's the max that's advertised, so it had to be it.

Xalvalt Posted February 16, 2005 Author CID Share Posted February 16, 2005 Yeah, I know. I've got to enjoy it while it lasts, but I really hope it doesn't change for the worst.
