I changed my RWIN to something lower than I should have and I don't remmeber wha the original was and now my online pings and tests are super low!!! My current RWIN is 10000 but I need an optimal one. I'm using Comcast cable with advertized speeds of 4000.. I got a max of 3.6 so I'm guessing its good but that was before that RWIN change.. VanBuren Posted March 10, 2005 CID Share Posted March 10, 2005 3. What tweakprograms you already got installed, and run this test http://www.dslreports.com/tweaks copy and paste result URL adress in your post! 4. What speed do you have against www.testmy.net and http://nitro.ucsc.edu/ also make a tracert, go to start-run type command and hit enter, type tracert testmy.net and hit enter, right click copy all and paste it in your post. 7. Never Connect to modem via USB ! Always connect your modem via ethernet (NIC) and make sure you have the latest drivers for your NIC. Set your NIC duplex mode to 10mb half duplex for Cable, for DSL it depend on the ISP service unless you are using a router, if so then set it to 100mb full duplex for both Cable & DSL. If you are using a router make sure you have the latest firmware. 8. Power cycle your modem, unplug it for atleast 30 seconds.
